Mujahid: Iran's borders remain secure| We need Chabahar| Continued transit with neighbors

Tehran(Bazaar): Contrary to US intelligence estimates, Kabul fell sharply in recent days, after which a Taliban spokesman announced the end of the war in Afghanistan and the rise of the group.

In the past few days, some senior Taliban officials, including their political deputy, have reportedly traveled to Kandahar to discuss the structure of Afghanistan's future system with the country's elders.

On the other hand, "Zabihullah Mujahid", the Taliban's spokesman and the group's head of information and culture, also announced that the Taliban would announce the composition and structure of the new Afghan government this week, and that the type of future government would be determined soon. This indicates that the Taliban are approaching the formation of a cabinet in Afghanistan, and the group is in the final stages of announcing a new cabinet.

Mujahid had previously stated that the Taliban did not intend to harm anyone and would not interfere in the affairs of others, in return for not allowing others to interfere in their affairs.

Among the incidents, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said in a statement about three weeks after leaving the country that he had been forced to leave Kabul to prevent a bloodbath, although a Taliban spokesman said: No one counted on Ashraf Ghani's escape, and even those close to him did not expect so.

Meanwhile, a foreign source quoted a Taliban spokesman as saying on Sunday that the United States had targeted the car of a suicide bomber who was trying to attack Kabul airport in airstrikes. According to the latest news, the Americans are in the final stage of withdrawing from Kabul and all troops were scheduled to leave Afghanistan by August 31 (September 9).

In this regard, and based on the importance of the issue of developments in Afghanistan and its impact on the country's relations with neighboring countries, including Iran, Tahlil Bazaar News Agency reporter arranged an exclusive interview with "Zabihullah Mujahid" spokesman for the Afghan Taliban and head of information and culture of the group. :

Following is the text of the interview:

Bazaar: After gaining power, the Taliban has announced that it will form an "inclusive government". When will this inclusive government be announced?

Mujahid: The government that will be formed in the form of an all-inclusive government, after various consultations that have already taken place and been completed, will be determined in the near future and it will be announced what it will be like and who will be in office.

Bazaar: Who are likely to be in power in the inclusive government? Will people like Hamid Karzai, Abdullah Abdullah, Hekmatyar or General Dostum be present?

Mujahid: You mentioned some politicians in the previous government. In the new government, new faces will come to power, and efforts are being made to exclude figures that the people and the nation have not had fond memories of in previous years.

Bazaar: Currently, there are disruptions in the transit routes from Iran to Afghanistan, and the customs of Iran and Afghanistan are not working at their former capacity. Will this situation return to normal?

Mujahid: Regarding transit, we try that when the new government is formed, the first task will be the flow of transit and trade in goods and cargo in the country, and new measures will be taken in this regard.

We are paying attention to this issue. Currently, the government is silent for some hours, and the work of some ministries has stopped, and problems with trade relations can be seen.

Bazaar: What is the position of the Taliban regarding Helmand water rights to Iran and on what basis will it act?

Mujahid: As for Haqaba water(water rights), my point is that when the new government is formed and the internal issues are partially resolved, God willing, the management of external issues will be easy and will be resolved peacefully.

Bazaar: The Taliban have made promises to Iran that Iran's borders will not be insecure. Will it keep its promises when the Taliban consolidate its position in Afghanistan?

Mujahid: Yes, we are committed to our neighbors and neighboring countries, and there will be no insecurity on our borders. Therefore, we pay enough attention to our borders and reassure our neighbors, because when we want to create security in our country, we also care about the security of our neighbors.

Bazaar: One of the important issues in Iran-India-Afghanistan relations is the issue of Chabahar port. Given the Taliban's enmity with India, will the Taliban allow the transit of goods from India to the port of Chabahar and to Central Asia in the future?

Mujahid: We need the port of Chabahar and therefore the work of this port will be active. We have no enmity with India and our effort is to end the enmity and establish good relations between Afghanistan and all countries. We also want no country to interfere in our internal affairs. Therefore, there will be no challenge in relation to Chabahar.

Bazaar: At a three-day meeting in Kandahar led by Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar was appointed foreign minister, Mullah Yaqub, the son of the Taliban founder, was appointed defense minister, and Sirajuddin Haqqani, son of Jalaluddin Haqqani, was appointed interior minister. Is this true?

Mujahid: No, I do not confirm this yet.
